“Flipping” tasty pancake recipes.

I love pancakes. Simple, so-flipping-tasty and not to mention a whole lot of fun I am glad they have their own day on the calendar.  This year it falls on Feb 21st, so here are some recipies to get you in the mood.

Pancake recipe: (makes 12-14)
110g plain flour, sifted
2 eggs
200ml milk mixed with 75ml water
50g butter
a pinch of salt.

Top toppings:

Keeping it classic –
squeezed fresh lemon and caster sugar

Mixing it up a little –
add slices of banana to the batter in the pan,
top with honey and vanilla ice cream.

Naughty but nice – nutella, banana and Ben & Jerry’s half baked ice cream.
Or tinned pears, marshmellows and chocolate buttons.
Or hot cherries and chocolate.

The angelic option –
fresh fruit and frozen yoghurt.

And for those that want to keep it savoury(why?!) how about creme fraiche, spinach, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes.
