Red (2010) Film Review

I’m very disappointed.

I love Morgan Freeman. I adore Helen Mirren’s style, John Malkovich’ madness and Bruce Willis because it is the done thing. This film has SO much potential but really lacks in plot. They might as well have compiled a couple of hours worth of screen tests because the entire thing came across like a big long boast as star after star played their parts.

It wasn’t completely dreadful, some of the special effects were good and John was funny but it just didn’t live up to the billing. Normally in a review I would outline the storyline but it is impossible to do that with RED as then there really would be nothing left – it was that wafer thin.

Rating: (One for Morgan and one for Helen)
